Hi, I am Alex,

born in Cologne, Germany. I am studying industrial design in my 4th year in Wuppertal, Germany. Prior to that, I did a lot of different things like studying mechatronics, completing an apprenticeship as a bachelor professional of trade and commerce at IKEA, and going abroad for work and travel in Australia, Hong Kong, and New Zealand.

I want to learn more about Entrepreneurship and about the strategies and concepts that come with it. To Design successful products is also crucial to understand market conditions better. The big picture view of the System where products are invented and sold is important to me.  I also want to learn how I can bring my own products to the market. Maybe there will be an idea or product in the future that I want to create a start-up with.

In general, I am interested in a lot of different things and like to connect them. During my stay in the US, I want to get more in touch with the growing space industry, and maybe also be part of an industrial design internship related to this. Sustainability is also a big interest of mine. It is always a challenge to push innovations without harming the only planet with life on it.

We are living in exciting times and it’s in our hands if we can make life better for everybody or worse.  But this process should not be depressing or paralyzing it is a big challenge and an opportunity to create a better and more thrilling environment for life on earth and beyond.
